Interactive White Boards (IWBs) are becoming one of the most common pieces of technology found in classrooms these days. One of the most common IWB’s is the SMART Board. SMART is pretty synonymous these days with IWBs. Not every teacher has access to an IWB, but those that do should really take advantage of this device. If a teacher really embraces a SMART Board, they’ll probably find that it can help them teach their students.
Of course, an IWB is only a tool. It will not enhance your teaching unless it is used appropriately. Or to be more accurate, the better the tool is used, the better it will enhance what you do in the classroom. There are many great resources online to jump-start your comfort level with an IWB. So whether you are a novice or a IWB expert, hopefully you will find some tips and tricks here that will help you improve. If you have any tips you would like to share, let me know and I will post it here.
